my story
Originally from Canberra (but please don’t hold that against me), I moved to the fair city of Perth in 1988 in search of better weather.
I initially found work as an administrator/bookkeeper for a patent attorney, which was quite interesting but after about a year the shine wore off and I sought employment elsewhere.
I spent about 4 years as an internal accountant for one of WA’s more colourful builders before moving on, having seen the light. I then joined an accounting practice, an industry I have now been in for a lot of years, except for a minor deviation of about 2 years working in my family signmaking business. There is nothing like a complete change of direction to refresh one’s perspective on work life.
I joined BSN & Co in 2005 as the resident bookkeeper for the practice, taking care of the bookkeeping needs for regular clients in a variety of industries on a weekly/monthly basis, plus annual tax accounting. That was 8 years ago and I don’t intend to retire yet.
I might be getting a bit “mature” but still find time in my busy work schedule for regular exercise, an active social life and enjoy as much time travelling as Kevin will permit.
